I also think it is a hybrid, the spot is not round, the one on the right side is not even spot. is some kind of pattern. i have seen this kind of ray before from the sp hybrid. the one of the left is very nice ray.

for me, pure or hybrid is not important issue.
 
did frank and nico breed them or did they buy them ?
 
Stunning rays,like them,if i was askd to judge i would go with not pure for sure..would love to see parents..nicer than any henlei ive ever seen..just awsome quality..you are a lucky man....i am with royal ray pure or not doesnt make any difference what so ever they are very special.

Beautiful! Wow, I don't care what strain they are. I love these two rays.
 
we discussed this on a german forum, nico bred them.

i believe these are hybrids because they are too high quality for the first generation.
it is possible to breed high quality rays but you have to select the adults. I bred henlei on my own and i know three other breeders.

nico also told me, that he doesn't know the grandfather, he doesn't know witch species he was ... i believe he was a leo
