Look At This!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like the setup. I totally respect you for trying DIY CO2. I looked at the instructions for about three seconds and then gave up, and ran for my LFS to buy the whole expensive setup. At least we already had the CO2 canister, because we have a kegerator. But, still, very nice, and again, props on your DIY initiative -- I didn't have the guts to try it!

It may look like I just ran a tube from the Co2 bottle because I did. I will be getting a Co2 Ladder later this week. I will aslo be adding 3 more 2liter bottles to hopefully add a Little Co2 to the tank. I will definatly try the piece of drift wood in one of the corners with the Co2 lader (when I get it) behind it.

Anyone have any Ideas as to what else to add the the tank. I hope to get a pair out of the 4 in there. So smaller tank mates, that can escape from the breeding angelfish.

I'm not sure what size tank you have (if you mentioned it, I'm sorry!) but I have a pair of Angels in my 125 with Cardinal Tetras, Penguin Tetras, and Rummynose Tetras, along with Emerald and Swartzi Cories and Clown Loaches, as well as Marbled and Silver Hatchets. The Angels chase away from the leaf they lay eggs on when they've got eggs, but no one has died from it, or anything. Honestly, the Angels are a little aggressive all the time, but since no one fits in their mouths, I don't worry about it too much. I think any of these larger tetras would work.

Thanks for the reply, larger tetras...I'll keep my eyes out for those.

It is a 75 Gallon. I'll look into those that you listed.

The penguins get very large, for a tetra, but they swim kinda funny, so watch the for awhile before you buy them, if you see them. They're nice, but I can see how some people wouldn't care for them. They swim at a weird angle.
