Algae is no worse than what lobsters eat in the wild.
Point taken. Still ain't trying it though. Lol.

Here in Florida where I live they are everywhere. Wouldn't be surprise if the folks down here ate them.

I gotta ask some locals. Maybe I can find out if they taste like lobster.
Please do.

ALASKAN KING CRAB > LOBSTER

:D
ever have Stone Crab claws?

I've tried stone crab claws. Didn't impress me. They were kind of bland.
Ever tried fresh Alaskan king crab? It is outrageous the taste difference fresh in Alaska vs. the frozen legs. Couldn't enjoy king crab legs for months after eating fresh king crab in Juneau...
I guess the same could apply to fresh stone crab claws. :)

I have had fresh Stone Crab, but never Kings.....I always get it from a local seafood joint like Red lobster or someplace like that, so I imagine it's frozen

We do Joe's Crab Shack occasionally and I've also had the Dungeoness crab, Queen Crab and Snow crab but I think my favorites are the Stone Claw, King and of course Maryland Blue Crab cooked w/ Old Bay seasoning, either whole crabs and hard shells or a signature Soft-shell crab sandwich (Po-boy)

You want sweet crab claws? You gotta try a claw from one of these guys. So much meat! Got this Samoan crab this morning straight from the ocean. ;)

Here are two fish that are "unique" looking and also supposedly taste like lobster. The first one is a monkfish and the second one is called a nohu or titan scorpionfish. I've caught a lot of nohu's when I was younger but never thought they were edible until much later in life when everyone and their mother was fishing and spearing them out of the ocean...
