True, this I know. They do belong to the same order which isn't much of a similarity. I have never experienced cichla breading even though I've kept them for 10+ year total, but I have have read and been told they do share some of the same breading characteristics. The fish i have bread, temp, stress, water pers, and so on had a big influence on breading cichlids. I did make it sound like I was putting them as the same species and I apologize.
