Look what Camshaft found.......

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you everyone for your input. I saw the tank today and am thinking about passing on it...
After looking at it, I sat down and looked at all of the pros and cons.

I only have one pic. After taking the first picture of the tank, my phone died.....:irked:
I use to drive a forklift full time 10 hours a day in a -10F warehouse and ever since then my battery has been booty.
I proceeded to take pics with someone elses phone, but come to find out later, their plan doesn't let them email pics and they dont have the cable to hook to comp.....
So it looks like you get one picture today. You ever had so many little stupid things happen to you in one day, you're just like whatever.....?

Pros and Cons

CONS:
- Heavy. And I'm not talking about, "Oh my back" heavy. I'm talking about, " That's weird, it wont come off the ground" heavy.
- Very skinny. says 21", but then subtract 6" of wood and glass. You have yourself a skinny tank......
- Feels like the fake background is coming off. Falls apart like glitter. Needs to be buffed off.
- No top. It's is non existent. Need to fab a top somehow....
- At the top , out of eyesight, are long bolts holding it like braces. Ugly. Dont look stainless steel.
- Heavy.....
- Will take too much time, effort, money to get it were I want it.
- The front is missing paneling. Looks like it was in a wall and was covered.

PROS:
- Cheap......

I'm probably gunnu call the guy later in the week to tell him I'm gunnu pass.
Oh well......:(

I got a free 30g long today. Gotta love the free tanks. I'm probably going to turn it into a sump.

You're right Red, it does look like a big @ss 55.

man i'd pass. odd dimensions, busting risks, and moving heavy stuff just straight sucks. just me though. good luck though!

I was about to say " dude!!!! hurry up and get that thing!!!!"

but then I thought to myself, how the heck can you clean that thing?

It's official, I'm passing on the tank. Feel free to have at it.
With the economy trending the way it is and the amount of good deals on tanks progressively rising because of it, I feel I will find another good deal soon.
