look what i caught today

the top on is a nioce one it already has a kype reminds me of steelheads(is the stream connected to the ocean in anyway).
 
its not connected to the ocean. its the great lakes tributaries and there are steelhead in the streams as well. ive noticed alot more smolt this year then normal.
 
nice, im a big fan of catch and release though most of the time lol
 
ya steelheasd usually have kypes and brown trout get them to but only if they are really big.

i dont use a sinker. i just use a hook and whatever bait and throw it uptream and let it bounce off the bottom until it reaches the fish. unless its really flowing then ill use a small splitshot. flys work for me very good also catching them. since i made this thread we went back and caught 2 a piece. all between 19-23 inches. i should have took pics but when we got back i was tired and let him fillet them this time.
