No, we got help from a neighbor that has a game cleaning business. He took about 4 pounds of meat for his services, cleaning, and packaging. And, we retained the skin, feet, meat, and skull. We walked away with about 145 pounds of cleaned meat (steaks, sausage, and nuggets). We made our tag expense back by selling about half the meat. And, we got $30/ft for the skin (uncured).

Outstanding....I never thought that I would find myself eating alligator nuggets here in Philadelphia.I imagined that I would have to travel to Louisiana or somwhere to get some.

That's one of the few things I miss since we left Louisiana. We were allowed to shoot 'nuisance' gators on our property without a license. I got 3 in a year when we lived on Horseshoe Lake in Mer Rouge.

That amounted to plenty of meat and skin.I imagine.

I've had it breaded and fried but then again I used to live in Florida and it's sold pretty commonly there.
