Yeah... I don't eat catfish in general. And I don't eat Unagi either. Aka Bernard, Kelso, Jack, etc.

they call those basa filet in asia.
tastes pretty good. not as fishy as snapper.

I'll have to take your and my TSN's opinion one that! :D

Seriously though, I actually thought about trying it just because I do like to try all sorts of food, and so many people I have talked to (across seas) say it's good. I think the most interesting thing about it for Americans in particular is that we, as a culture, generally have extreme feelings about eating animals that are considered to be pets. It would be interesting to see people's reactions to know that the fish they may sercing for dinner may also be that cute baby fish in their child's tank.

I'd def eat it. I've eaten a bunch of weird stuff traveling around the world. I highly doubt it could be worst than some

I'm sure it's actually quite good. It's just weird for me to eat one and totally take care of another. There is a good chance it will catch on. Maybe eventually when people figure out the pet connection, petsmart will quit selling them to people with 10 gallon tanks.

I have a ID to. Though never ate a fillet. But when I had my 30" channel I still ate catfish :). Infact some nights he'd eat it with me. Lol

Actually they sell them at most stores, usually labelled as Swai.

My dad bought a pack of fish one day at Kroger that was labelled "Swai" and asked me if I'd heard of it. He thought it might be some saltwater fish or something. I had no idea so I looked it up, and lo and behold, it's usually iridescent shark, though sometimes other asian catfish are labelled as such.
