Look what I found this morning

So I turn on the lights to my tank this morning and look what I found.






This is a first for me so if ANYONE that has breed Dovii can give me some advice or things to look for. Please fire away.

Congrats! and dont get your hopes up my first dovii spawn a while back was a dud the male never fertilized the eggs the eggs went bad,your male is tiny compared to the female time will tell good luck.

That's cool!!!!! Right now I trying to get a pair to breed. I bought a pair and it looks like two females. I'm going to get 4-5 2 inch dovii today and grow them out. Hope i get a male out of this bunch....... By the way Congratulations on being a dovii daddy

thanks guys. hope this is a success. i hope the male has/will fertilize the eggs. he sure is protecting them. i got my fingers crossed.

Haven't had any experience with doviis, but have had with plenty of other cichlids. It is a good sign if the male is protecting the eggs. If the eggs should perish watch for too much aggression between the pair and be perpared to seperate for a couple weeks if needed.
