Just noticed you also have loaches in with the Doviis. The loaches are quick and will survive and long as there is losts of decor. If you do end up with fry, eventually the loaches will eat most all of them. I had this happen with a firemouth pair in 120gallon planted tank with 14 assorted loaches.

great news mate congrats...word of advice,icame home other day to find my senegal eating my angels eggs<all ofthem,,,so beware,,angels were attacking him but he didnt care
ok i can move the sengal and the loaches. there is a root with hole in it on the right side of my tank that they all hang out in and around. if they try to get on the left side of the tank they are usually chased away. but just in case i will move them to my 29gallon tank today. thanks for the heads up
Good luck at2 they should be a good pair in the future being that they paired off so small hopefully it will be a fruitful spawn for them.

is there anyway to look at the eggs to tell if they have been fertilized? i mean i guess after a few days it will be noticable right?
i also want to remove the loahes and senegal but i dont wanna stress the dovii out by chasing around the other fish. i think i will wait and see if this batch is a success and then remove them before they get to the fry.
