Absolutely not. The whole reason they were called "Honduran Red Point" instead of "Blue Convict" was to avoid having people confuse or mix them with convicts. Not really. That has become quite obvious considering they were not included in the recent convict group revision. Whether they will be classified as Cryptoheros or Amatitlania is to be determined. They all have Different stuff see this is why is confusing some say blue convict some say nothing to do with convicts.
Either way by looking at pictures they look so much like Convicts.
