I definitely plan on waiting a couple months. But I mean would the size of my tank be the issue? I've seen tons of people keep them in smaller tanks when they're younger, which isn't something I'm really opposed to. I think keeping juvenile fish in smaller tanks is fine as long as they still have some space to grow, the tank is proportional to the size they would need as adults at the size they are now, and they have a larger home awaiting them when they get larger.
My big question is, how long would it take a small 3-4" pup to become about 7-8"? I'm assuming they're pretty slow growers, but I'm not entirely sure about that one.
I wouldn't do it, too much risk... (and money)
