Look What's Acclimating!!!

Just picked this guy up tonight from Jay's Aquatics in Salem, NH. This will be my first Hemibagrus wyckii. In this pic, he's just getting ready to start his drip acclimation.

I'll post some more once he's in the main tank. I'm testing him in my main tank, but if all hell breaks loose he's going into my "pond".

Here's a question for all you Wyckii owners/previous owners...am I pretty much guaranteed that he's going to be the nastiest catfish around, or are there tricks to the trade to keep him from "snapping"?

Nice pickup they're one of the top 5 catfish that I want to keep.

Ok...he's in the tank. I tried snapping a few shots before he bolted behind the driftwood. Only one came out ok.

Not my best shot...but it will have to do for now.

Great catfish, but a bit of a grouch, know a couple of people who have had success keeping in a large community, but think it will be hard going, best not to risk it and keep this majestic fish on his own, and save you money in lost fish.
