Looking at getting into Discus

So would i need to do 100% RO or could i just mix it? I'm thinking if i put a 50 gal potable water jug in the garage and fill it with RO i could mix it with tap and not have to worry about running a RO system outside of a few days a month .. I rent so i would end up getting a system and hooking it to my 1/2 bath on the 1st floor sink and running it for long enough to fill a large container if i needed to go that way.
 
I'd mix it. See what happens when you mix it until you can get it to 7 or under as a maximum.
 
BRS 4 stage ro only system -75GPD is $150... If i did a potable water container with a cap i could store it in the garage and have 40-50 gal at all times ready to go... unless you have a better idea?
 
I don't know much about RO. Try posting in simply discus as well.
