Plants can grow in any type of light. You see plants grow under constant shaded forest canopy. But plants only use certain spectrum's in the lights out put. Just because its bright doesn't mean its the best light. Its personal taste as far as what looks appealing to your eye. 10K is bright but too bright in the white bluish range makes things look to washed out to me.
