Looking for a beginner snake...

Any particular method to kill it?

I had a friend that fed live until one of the rats killed his big female breeder ball python and so switched to fresh killed and frozen thawed. he kills the rats with a blow to the head/neck. live tend to be a dollar or more expensive then frozen. my recommendation is just buy a snake that is feeding on frozen to begin with you will have an overall better experience.

Flame garter snake pair, feed them bits of fish and earthworms every few days,I kept mine in a tank with cypress bark substrate,as long as humidity is low and they have a heat source they r pretty hardy and easy to handle.

Cool, he or she? Is it a super pastel?
Very pretty!-)

I had my snakes out in the garden today, one of the few warm days here in the UK!-)

She and honestly just bought as "fancy" which means we got a good deal. But she has so much orange in her, and is much brighter than most normal pastels I've seen, so my bet is super pastel.

She's a beauty! I just got my first snake (a male butter ball python) last week as well. Unfortunately his breeder was feeding live mice, so I'm just going to have to pray that he accepts frozen thawed when I offer it for the first time, later this week.

Very nice! Share a pic? Honestly, if you have a source for live it's not bad. If you're set on FT, make sure you have tongs to simulate movement.

Sure. :) Yeah, I've been watching every Youtube video I can find on weaning BPs onto f/t, and I've seen that that's a common technique. I just prefer the convenience and safety of f/t.

Here he is. I've named him Butters.
