So as the title says I'm looking for a canister filter that would be a good addition to my 75 gallon tank. Currently I am running an AC 110. But I want to add some additional filtration. What would be a good canister at a good price that would pair well with the AC 110. Thanks for the input.

I'm kind of partial to fluval, had no problems with them and they have done a great job for me in the past. So I am going to say a fluval 405

Ok thats good to hear I originally was looking at that the 405 but want to get some ideas for other possibilities. I would like to save as much money as possible but dont want to buy junk. So ideas are always helpful.

yeah the 405 is a good filter for (on this site) smaller aquariums. For most average fish keeper a 55 is huge lol. this is what mfk is good for, 99% of the time someone on here has tried whatever hurdle you are trying to jump and can assist, love this site, it has made me a better fishkeeper!

If you want to save a little bit of money just get another AC 110. You'll be doing 1000 gph. I used to have two AC 70's on my 75 with a pretty large bio load and never had a dirty tank.

I have a 405 and it's great, but I done much like the ribbed hosing. I also have a Rena XP4 on a 90, and if you want an alternative I'll give it a  for being relatively inexpensive, easy to set up, reliable, quiet, and having standard tubing. It also comes with a spray bar, as well as straight output so you have a choice out of the box.

that is a pretty good suggestion . . . would also let you stagger your cleaning, doing each filter on an alternating schedule . . . I do this with my smaller tanks
