Is this going to compare to an eheim or a fluval? Probably not. But at $53 shipped you can't really complain :P I emailed the seller and was told that this is a sunsun canister under a different name, they both look exactly the same.

There are some good reviews about this filter on AC, haven't heard of it being mentioned on MFK though.

Just go straight for an Fx5 your water will never be cleaner

I love fx5. Rena xp3 is good too. I would sell the ac100s. Then hookup a sump and canister combo. That way when you get a bigger tank you don't have to buy new filters.:)

So as the title says I'm looking for a canister filter that would be a good addition to my 75 gallon tank. Currently I am running an AC 110. But I want to add some additional filtration. What would be a good canister at a good price that would pair well with the AC 110. Thanks for the input.
The Magnum 350 is a good canister filter. I have used this on my 72 for 7 years now and still running strong. It's easy to clean and maintain not expensive to do so.

I have a 75 gal with just a Fluval 405 and it keeps the tank healthy. If you already have a AC 110, you're going to be fine with the addition of a 405.
