I have virtually no experience or knowledge about aquarium kept catfish, from the smallest to the largest. So assume I'm completely ignorant when asking this.

I have a 92g corner tank. Current stocking is as follows

1x 1.5" Polleni cichlid
3x 1.5" -4" Electric Blue Scars
4x 2 .5" Clown loaches

I completely understand that the full grown fish I have now will overstock my system. I move in 6 months, and am already in the works with a larger 220g acrylic system.

Basically I am looking for a catfish the would work well with what I have, but doesn't grow so large to threaten my loaches, or stay so small to become snacks for the polleni cichlid.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes pictus cats prefer school and will be more enjoyable the more you have... Look into synodontis species plenty to choose from... I myself have a large Notatus... He's a hog that likes his own territory but Iv never seen his be overly aggressive, he only pushes tankmates out from under his log... You could also try striped Raphael cats.. They hide all the time tho but very cool... I have no experience but Iv heard good things about Bolt catfish too... I would suggest a vulture cat but that might be to much for ur loaches15165818681326678136372873584308.jpg

Maybe pim blochii or ornate pimelodus.

You're going to have to be a little more specific, planet catfish currently lists 4154 species of catfish.

Do you want plecs, cories, synos, etc? Find a good fish store and have a look, see if there any that you like.

Ornate pims are great cats and will suit your needs.
Other options Inc
Asian sun catfish
Dwarf giraffe catfish (macrostoma)
Platysirilus mucosus

I love my dwarf giraffes, said species above only get 9".
