Looking For a "Conversation Starter" Type Fish for My 125 Gallon - Suggestions?

Since you bought a fahaka, be prepared to buy it lots of seafood ;)

My fahaka lives on a varied diet of the following foods: clams (in full shell) / mussels (in half shell) / live crays / scallops : market prawns and the occasional massivore / NLS pellets...

You can also feed them cockles as well as another option...

But i do agree, a 125G is the recommended absolute minimum, but i personally think they should be in at least a 200G...

Would those seafoods be enough to keep the beak down or do Fahaka's absolutely need dental work? Just curious. :)

From what i've read and heard, only the South American Puffer needs regular dentistry, the rest can be managed by feeding a hard shell diet regularly...

a bullhead would be sweet. they only get about a foot long. i feed mine from my hand. best yet, you can go catch one for free lol. in a tank that sized, you could put some different panfish species as well. i like north american native tanks. very hardy fish and very easy and cheap to take care of.

Well guys I made an impulse buy today. I went to a local fish store that I haven't been to before and it turned out they had all kinds of exotic freshwater fish. They had two small Fahaka puffers for sale and given everyone's suggestion here, I bought one. Here is a picture of the little guy. My daughter named him Marty. We'll see how it goes.

Now I just have to figure out how often to feed him and what type of food to feed him. Any suggestions?
