Looking for a floating plant

(if you are still looking for a floating plant, try Lemna trisulca?) it is native to most of the world, looks kind of like Riccia (from a distance) only bigger, and not as invasive as it's cousins.

It is called star duckweed and is very different from other duckweeds. I have no idea how it ended up in the same genus. It sinks sometimes, although I am not sure what makes it sink or float. Often when you see it there is some on the surface and some on the bottom. It makes piles that look like tree tops... from above water. It needs moderate to high lighting apparently.
