Looking for a good ph regulator supplier

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My tapwater has a ph of 7.8, if I slowly discontinue using my ph regulator and gradually adjust my tank ph from the current 6.5 to 7.8 will my silver arowana be ok?? Given that I always keep my nitrate levels below 20 ppm, will it be safe to eventually add a motoro stingray to water with a ph of 7.8?? Anybody with experience please advise.

Discus need good water quality, not exact chemistry. They're spawning but they eat the eggs after 2 days, they're pretty young yet. My pH is 8.2 but you're missing the point :-) my kh is 14 (very 'hard' water). pH is just an indicator of 'soft or hard' water. What matters to the fish is the total dissolved solids (the TDS) and that's what a kh test will measure.

Yes i do not see any reason why your fish would would be in any danger by acclimating them to your tap conditioned water. Just stop using the buffer and do the regular WC schedule and they will acclimate.
