I'm looking for a marble goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata)

I'm fairly new to the game. Only ever kept arowana and now I'm finally setting up for some real big tanks. I've got an 80g now with a little baby 4" silver and a jardini on the way. I've been searching for a marble for a few years now. His bottom dwelling tank mate will be a real docile 10" ornate bichir. If anyone can help with sources or anything like that I'd really appreciate the help. All my sources are dry and our local shop just isn't big enough to handle exotics like the marble.

Appreciate it.

Think you need to rethink your stocking... the goby if fed properly will outgrow and eat the ornate for one, possibly even outgrow and eat the jardini. The jardini will eventually kill the silver. If it doesn't you'll have three fish quickly outgrow your tank. That tank will probably last no more than 6 months for the silver if taken care of properly. And assuming all goes well until the jardini hits a foot, then he'll start bothering the silver for sure, and maybe even the goby and ornate. The silver won't put up with it well, the goby can hold its own, and the ornate is tough so can probably do fine.

oh i understand these concerns I'm having a much larger acrylic tank built and I'm going to put floating plants to separate the aros until they're too big for the 80 gallon.

If I must say, I doubt that'll work, but you can try it, not everyone experiences the same thing

Where abouts are you? I have one I’ve recently got and i need to get it a bigger tank or a new home!
