look thru your local classifieds and craigslist. you will find some definite diamonds in the rough. just recently i picked up an acrylic 240gl tall/stand/canopy/sump for 500 bucks. the sump/biomedia/pump were worth 500 bucks alone.
Ive been looking for about a month and there has been no luck. plus my dad doesnt want a tank that has any chance of leaking so i have to buy new. anyway I basically got the ok to do it today I just have to get a "really nice" stand lol.
im having an issue getting a tank apparently the biggest tank they can get in is a 240 show (72 x 24 x 30). I could get that and a stand for about $900, but I really dont want that so...I asked how much it would cost for the supplier to custom make my tank 
I should still get away with it being less than $1500...good price?
