Cb blue togues are no hard to feed, you hardly need bugs and they live way longer then bearded dragonsChad55;3924282; said:Hmmmmmmm some really good suggestions. I thought about a beardie too and I figured if I wanted something unique I could get a sweet morph or something.... never thought of a hedghog.... How are they as pets? And no worries there will be no big torts in my near future. Oh and BTS has always been on my wish list so thats an option I just feel like they are had to feed.

Actualy except for the extreme specialist toises such as tend and hindge backs, it is recomended that tortoises spend as much time outside outside as climete allows in properly build enclosures. And if its for roaming in the wild that you wont keep a certain animal then you cant keep toises either because toises are among the biggest roamers as far terrestrial herps go (russians spend most of their time underground but red foots are great roamers) and they need the biggest possible cages you can give them. I have a 12 inch male yellow head toise Indotestudo enlongata in my basement in a 2m by 1,80 terrarium and he uses every single inch of it (people that look into it often think the cage too much emptySarah88;3925270; said:i would actually NOT suggest a hedgehog, its really hard to give a hedgehog the proper set-up in captivity, as in the wild they roam large areas and are always on the move so i think its kind of sad to put them in cages and i think there is also debate about best long term diet for them, but skink would be cool, natural science center i did internship at had 2 and they were pretty cool, cant remember what we fed them though... i think if you wanted you could get a small tortoise, that's what im planning and there are several that stay small and could be housed inside (im debating between a russian tortoise or a cherry headed red foot tortoise)
