I've been trolling around the arowna section for a few days. I found an absolutely beautiful picture of a very dark black Arow with red, nearly blood red, fins. Amazing coloring.

I'm trying to find that picture again and wondering what species it is. A Black Arow would be the obvious choice but I'm just learning about Arows so I'm not sure.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

What shade of red would you say that is.

Not red, fins have orange, if they look red to you then your monitor needs adjusted

Well. I haven't been able to find the picture again so my memory may be incorrect. It was a rather dark arow with red fins.

Here is a silver I found with a rather red tail.

It's tail is as pink as it's back, result of the lighting, ya think?

More like the result of a bad low light photo. Look how noisy/grainy the picture is. The grain, in addition to the lighting is making it look red/pink.

To be honest though, my little silver is pink/blue all over too. He's still silver, but the tint is there.

And the link to the black one is probably the blackest black aro I've seen at that size, but it's also quite little still and the color will still probably fade at some point. The fins are definitely orange though.

that black is that dark because its in a black tank with white lights

Guess I should build a dark tank with bright lights and find a nice dark Black Arowana.
