The tetras will 100% be eaten by the Oscar at some point, I would get them in a sandwich bag the next time you go to the LFS and give them as a donation or see if you can get a few bucks creditgold severums look kind of nice. would it be terrible to drop a juvie gold severum and baby oscar into my tank and cross my fingers and say good luck to the tetras? lol.
Beyond just eating the other small fish, the oscar will outgrow a 90.
I wouldn't consider any fish that grow more than 9", for a 90 gal.
The oscar can get 12" to 15".
GT's and Chocolates, both should stay smaller than an O.Are there other big fish with some personality?
no he will not outgrow a 90 gallon tank, most if not all Oscars max out at 14 inches if that.Beyond just eating the other small fish, the oscar will outgrow a 90.

You can have a solo Oscar in a 90 gallon tank for llfe, heck I would even say a 75 gallon would be fine. If you are looking for another solo wet pet anything that is around 10-14 inches would be fine, though 14 is pushing it a bit.Are there other big fish with some personality?

It's really a matter of opinion. Some will say 90g is too small for an Oscar, some will say 55 or 75 would be fine for one. personally I feel like a 90 is "just" okay with minimal tankmates. I kept one in a 90 for years with some severums and it was okay. Bigger is always better. Seeing how you already have the 90g, It might be better to pick a fish that will stay a little smaller. But it can be done, in the end it's up to you and what you think.
