looking for congo puffer

Any LFS around me who claimed they could get a RED Congo, wanted close to $200 for it. got it online for $50 but it took 4 years to finally find someone who sold them.
 
i managed to pick up a really nice hairy puffer for 69 hes amazing doing really well i have him eating white cloud minnows right now but he will also take blood worms so im pretty happy i will make a new thread in a week or so to let you see him once hes settled down
 
Very cool! Work on getting him on crunchier foods though.

Did you get him from Aquatic Warehouse down towards SD? If so, good looking little guy. If I had the tank I would have grabbed him two weeks ago when I was there. Instead, I grabbed and trying to rescue a little baby fahaka. Didnt make it though. They had some good lookings SAPs there too, 3 of them, and a 6 inch MBU who looked scared as hell.

thats exactly were i grabed him up at they ha a mbu there he was maybe 3 in still a baby ha i love going in there with my daughter she loves fish so its like a cheap zoo taking her to the pet store ha, sorry about you fahaka.

pufferpunk: yup im actually going to the commissary today when my wife wakes up and i was going to get some frozen shrimp is there any specific brand you guys use or any other kind of food for the time being, i have a 10 gallon my wife wants to set up for shrimp but she doesn't know that im going to feed them tons of veggies and make them fat for feeders ha
 
Be sure to get raw, with the shell on. Look for mussels, crab legs, clams, oysters, squid.

will do thanks should be able to get all that since there is a big seafood section hes hidding in the sand or id take some pics he blends in so well
