Basically, I'm absolutely clueless with these fish, all I know is they are gorgeous and I hope I can get one.

Here's the situation. The two tanks it'd go into would first be a 55 gallon with 3 discuss, 2 angelfish, 2 African butterflies, 5 bala sharks, and two pleco. Then when it outgrows that tank it will be moved to a 200 gallon with a silver arowana, tiger oscar, florida spotted gar, two red belly pacus, dinosaur bichir, tiger shovelnose catfish, and those two plecos when they outgrow the 55.

Some fish can be moved to a 1500 gallon pond if needed.

Like I said in clueless when it comes to datnoids so what do you think? Is this possible or could it never be done? If not then how could I make it possible? And what other advice could you give me?

No flaming please, I'm here to learn

Thanks

dats would be fine in the 200 but your stock list may be a little much once the fish grow larger. just make sure the dats aren't to small to become food for you catfish.

whats the ph in this 55? cuz dats are a little alkaline...
i wouldnt worry about agressiveness towards any of its tankmates in the 55
as for the transfer, plecos can be agressive sometimes...beware
dats are nice, shy at first, but given proper care, hiding places, good filtration, live fish once in a while & a ph of 7 they whill thrive...

Let's see pics of the 1500 pond please

The aro tiger shovel nose pacu would out grow the 200 gal fast

Discus and angles are not a good mix
