And how you know that? I would think that a single or two paddlefish should do well in 2/3 acres natural pond and can be trained on pellets along with natural prey items. That said, have you ever did an experiment with paddlefish in large ponds? If I am not mistaken, paddlefish are highly adaptable fish to any environments unlike sturgeons.Paddlefish are not a good idea at all in a large pond that's not 100% see-through.
I wouldn't do shortnose gars and bowfins if you are planning to throw them in large natural pond and never seen them again.Albino Channels and Long and shortnose Gars, or even a couple of Bowfin if you grow them out first would be good choices,
