Hi all,
I have a large Alligator Gar and am looking to add a few new Gars into my life. No Florida Gars and I don't need another Alligator Gar at the moment, please. (Unless if you just want to adopt it out, then I may consider it.) I'm in MA, and willing to travel for the right deals. On top of my list right now are a Shortnose and Longnose Gar.

You might have better luck with finding true spotted, shortnose and longnose gars in the spring. Rehoboth Aquatics can get true spotted and longnose gar but like I said better chance in the spring (He catches them himself). Shortnose will probably be the hardest one to source out. Extremely rare in the hobby now days (abundant in the wild though). Most people who catch them are just fishermen/bow fishers (not hobbyist/vendors). The challenge is finding someone who is willing to catch and ship them.

Sounds like a challenge re: the Shortnose Gar. If shipping is a big hurdle, I may consider driving down to pick up.
