Sorry the only one I can think of shut down, it was a pretty nice place from what I remember. It was under Chuckie Cheese on Capital. I know a good one in Goldsboro, though it's probably not worth the hour long drive.
Topical Fish World on Westinghouse Blvd. off of Capital Blvd. It's where I do all of my fish related buying. They have more in the way of saltwater, but there is a fairly large size freshwater section. Much more variety than the chain stores and Adam can order you just about anything you want.
You know I think they did. I've only lived in Raleigh for about two years though and they've been on Westinghouse the entire time so it must of been a while ago. Adam is around here somewhere so he might chime in. He'd be able to tell you when they moved.
Good to know - I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Raleigh. Any suggestions for other stores around the CH/durham area? The only one I've come across besides the chains is Salty Waters near Southpoint. All salt unfortunately (as the name suggests admittedly).
There's an interesting one in Wake Forest but I can't remember the name of it. I was in there for like 5 minutes and didn't really look around. From what I remember they kept other animals besides fish and I was not impressed at all at their care. The place is very crowded and kind of in a whole in the wall but I do remember seeing some large, rarer species out there. I keep meaning to drive back out there and take a closer look around. Other than this and the one I mentioned earlier I don't know of anything else in the area thats any good.
