Looking for help

You maybe right DB junkie DB junkie . Would still move it that’s way you can watch it better and make sure it’s getting better. Or leave as is and treat. See what happens.

Heat and salt worth a shot or straight to meds you think?

I'd be cautious about medicating and not knowing what the cause is. I don't like it at all. To me this is the last straw.

Exceptions include my anti-parasitic treatments when I use potassium permanganate on fish from the wild to cleanse them externally and metronidazole + praziquantel + fenbendazole cocktail with food to cleanse them internally.

Looking at it to me it’s fungus on the ornatus. Not sure about the ray. Keep temps normal (78-80) with salt (1tsp pergallon)and fungal med or can do a methylene blue dip by itself.

Can always try heat and salt and see. Don’t think it’ll be successful.

Point well noted. I believe separation from the ray will help. Likely cause or source for me.

Sounds like your saying they should not be kept together????

Atleast for a while. Till things improve and easier to monitor. If it’s I’ll from the ray then separation will help. Just my suggestion.

Catfish was dead when I got home yesterday. The ray is back off food again now.

:(

Sorry for the loss.
