So I was at my LFS last night and I picked up a Fire eel which is pretty cool. They also had another eel that was flat out ugly.. ugly enough I liked it but I knew nothing about it so I passed on it. Well obviously the owner didn't know anything about it either.. he called it a "black eel", I asked if it was FW or BW, he said either, I asked if it got to 2-3 feet like the fire eel and he said.. "umm... yea it.. yea it does" :irked:

So anyway, I'm looking for info on it and can't find a picture of it anywhere.. It was around 10" long, pretty thin and the body looked like a worm with small eyes (I don't recall seeing fins on it but they could have just been tucked down).. it was a dark grey in color and the texture of it kinda looked like a skinned cat.. dunno how else to describe it. Anyone have an idea what it could have been?

rubber eels are amphibians called caecilans, and a magazine just profiled them a month or so ago. they do not do well with fish at all
