So after a week or so with my “La ceiba,” I’m not too sure what he is. I’m going to include a pic here to see what you think.

Oh the la ceiba fish…ive thought it could be a hybrid between the 2, which i’m still going with..i’ve collected there never found them supposedly they were found in a spot that dried up or something? That area was collected by a bunch of people and haven’t been found again?

the waterway they were originally found in was dredged to build a hotel. I agree with the notion that they're probably multifasciatus/motaguensis hybrids. Mota is native to the area, multi was introduced for fishing. managuensis is also there but hybrids would look a lot more managuensis.

this definitely looks like it has motaguensis in it
