looking for mid-sized top-dwellers that eat wrigglers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
im leaning towards the chalceus, since they are readily available here. it does worry me that their body is streamlined, making it easier for a bichir to eye it as prey. never saw a pikehead gourami or african butterflyfish yet on the lfs. the angelfish and the bushfish might not like the flow rate. thanks!

I'd go with the pink tailed, they're really easy to get and get a decent size but not too big. I doubt a bichir would go after a decently sized one.

They aren't top but most cichlids are mid to bottom and will eat fry and wigglers

Hujeta gar or other pike characins aka false gars. Also anableps are cool with those 4 eyes
