looking for new project car.

Looking to get another project car, don't know what to use though, i'm sure i want a newer car, ie-2001+, and i've possibly nailed it down to 4, those being, lancer evo-Mr or IX-not X---subaru wrx Sti---Plain Wrx---honda S2000, has anybody had experience with these cars, what would you pick and why, car will be primarily a track/weekend/project car.

does it have to be an import? i'd pick up a LS1 stripper Z28 to start building. you can pick them up cheap now days

out of your list id go with an MR.

STI has the most potential and most fun right of the box. I drove a 400whp STI and it almost scared me it was so fast. A heart surgeon where I went to school had it and a 911. He thought the STI was more fun than the Porsche.

2JZ's are definetly the best engine i've ever owned, but i'd like something a bit diferent this time around. thanks anyways

For a track/weekend car, the S2000 is the best bet. STIs and EVOs are way too expensive to mod.

Go for the STI. Great cars to have but a car even better would be a RX-7 if you like imports. RX-7's are just as fast as a Z06 vette or viper rt-10 if you can get the RX-7 over 300 horses. They are so light which makes them take off like rockets and handling is superb on them. I had one with a intercooled turbo with a huge vent system and the car smoked a Z06. Not the new Z06's of course but an older model. The new Z06's are just out of this world.
