Legally... maybe a malawi eye biter or jaguar cichlid
 
i would pick one of the large haps of lake malawi-its a toss up between quite a few.
 
An eel or lungfish would be pretty cool...
 
FW - Black Piranha. He might outgrow it eventually, but you'll have plenty of time.

SW - Chambered Nautilus, Giant Cuttlefish or Octopus (always wanted one of these kind of tanks) :)
 
These are all really great suggestions,i started this thread with the thought that..a) having only 1 fish in a tank this size would mean pristine water perimeters at all times with my scheduled water changes b)quicker growth rate and c) a very happy pet with all that swimming space to itself.What do you guys think??
 
I like the idea of a one fish tank. I will be going that route in the near future. ;)
