There were many in Pearl City 15 years ago. The DLNR would take it away if you called them. Small knie toxic the bite!

are they still being used for unagi? or do you know any direct source i can go get them at? pearl city still have any?

so far my tank is accumulating fish i scooped up anyway so all my fish are from the wild (no store bought fish = less worry for intolerance to disease).

i grabbed 2 convicts, 4 plecos and a juvenile tiger oscar from the stream... might wanna throw the oscar back though.

Brought to Hawaii by Asian migrants during the 1800s and became well established in O'ahu by the early 1900s; most abundant on the windward side of O'ahu; these air-breathing eels can burrow in moist mud and can survive long periods without water

this must be the guy you looking for!

Hello Retuks;
You may want to look at the Golden Tulip Eels.They are the exact color you described.I have 2 of them in my tank.They are gold-yellow with black splotches and spots.I also have a snow-flake F.W.moray eel.To complete it,there are 2 black rubber eels that are not true eels.That part that they are semi-poisonous is nothing but B.S.They are just trying to scare you into not keeping them.PM me if you want more info.

there was only one picture i could see it from and that actualy looks closer to the eel i saw then the rice patty eel because the rice had a bigger head and this tulip eel has a head equal to its body.

omfg it must be a tulip eel... that looks like the one. do they have teeth?

any more info on the tulip eel?

sharp teeth?

total avg size?
