Hey all, I've been looking for some different food to give to my 6 RBP's. They are currently eating fish fillets, Tetra Cichlid Sticks, and they will occasionally eat algae wafers and shrimp pellets, but I am looking to get them some quality pellet food to start feeding them regularly. i have heard good things about the Massivore pellets and am interested in trying those out. I was also looking at trying the Hikari Tropical Food Sticks because my guys are used to eating at the surface as of now. I also found these Azoo 9 in 1 Arowana Sticks, and they are about 20 bucks for 1.5 lbs of the stuff. Seems like a good deal. Anyone ever try this stuff out? Also does anyone have any other kind of pellet food they would recommend? Thanks in advance

I was first told to try and get Hikari Gold to bring out their color and I have to say their color is amazing now but I also changed a lot of things when I started feeding pellets, so I cant say for sure that the fold helped or not. I'm about to start feeding them Massivore, I'll let you know if I see a difference.

Cool thanks, Anyone else ever try the Azoo Arowana food? I may just try it and will let everyone else know how they work then.

I feed hikari gold, heard good things about massivore as well. shrimp with the shells still on will help make the red pop. I would also switch it up with other fish, tilapia, catfish, whitefish, etc.

I feed my rbp a variety of foods. Basa fish, salmon, massivore, beef heart, cichlids, scallops, shrimp, pork heart. Basically anything . I notice that they won't even let any small pieces of scallop or beef heart.

IMO the more variety the better!krill, clams, pellets of many kinds, earthworms, bloodworms, grasshoppers, to (gasp!)goldfish, leaches, to crawdads, to beefheart, porkheart, to livers. IMO pellets are like parrot food its good just not good enough! Feeding only a couple things makes picky eaters n they won't get everything they need!

I do try to feed them a variety of food, just fed em some earthworms today, I will also feed them diff types of fish fillets, shrimp pellets, they will eat algae wafers too, but I was just looking for some different pellet food to try out and some feedback of different types of pellets that people have tried. Im gonna buy some actual shrimp today and see how that goes as well.

Well, I ordered some Hikari Tropical Floating Sticks and a small bag of Massivore to try out, so far they are loving the Massivore and eating it up like hotcakes, gonna try out some of the sticks today and see how they like those. Its a good feeling knowin they wont have to eat that wal-mart crap I had them on for a short while.
