Looking for some input

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was thinking just to help fertilize the plants in there. I know any piranha makes a heavy bio load so as much as can be done will help. I was thinking a shoal of about 6 and they can mow back some food. Im even toying with the idea of neons in with them. I have heard of varying degrees of success with that. The RBPs at my LFS here are only about 2 inches long and i know they grow fast. Hopefully the neons will be faster ;) I think they will be happy with a 125 or a 220 gal system.

PS I just checked out your vendor you suggested. There is a tank with some upside down branches looking like roots, amazing... def the way im going!

yeah man he's really really good quality, i cant wait to re-water log my pieces and get this thing rolling, i already have an idea on stocking :D

what are you thinking about stocking?

I know it will have to be upgraded tank size wise but the one fish I've always really wanted to have one of quality is a green terror, i had one that i had grown from about 1" to 3" with good colors but ended up having to get rid of him because he was getting bullied by my turquoise severum. Looking to get one about 2" and grow it to about 5 and by then i will have either found another deal on a 75 or he'll go live in a friend's 75. at the moment im thinking 3 pictus cats, baby green terror, and then a school of some kind of tetra probably beunos aires heavily planted with java moss loaded up in the sump

bout to go to bed ill catch up with ya tomorrow

what size tank do you think i could get away with for the time being with 4-6 two inch piranhas until the big one is up and running? purely a temp home.

Man that sounds awesome! Good luck with it! Good night bud and thanks for the input ;)

got a spare 40-55 gal handy? that'd be best. I'd just say that because I've got a 30 gallon running as a growout and my 8- 1.5" sunfish are taking up enough space that I'm moving them to a 75 asap
