Like the title says. I need some good instructions/tips/hints/wishes of luck for shipping some 6-8" pulchers...

I think replying through PM would be best so I could save it for future references for my self would be best!

How many are you sending me?

BTW, you get A++ for transaction. Highly recommend!

rather then shipping in plastic bags I would ship them in individual foam coolers rapped in plastic or something, so then you don't have to worry about holes in the bag from the spines and then put the coolers in thick cardboard boxes for protection...

Maybe get something like Nitra-Zorb and put it in a nylon stocking or something and put it in with the fish to help keep the fish healthy...

it packaging probably wont be cheap but it should be protective, but just a couple of thoughts...

I can try to get ahold of some of the coolers that they ship vaccines in. They have 3" thick styro walls. Line it with a couple of bags and I'd bet even if they puncture the bag they would be ok. maybe you can even go without a bag in one of those.

I havent shipped dats but I have shipped other fish in a foam cooler without any bags with no problem, you just need to make sure that you seal the lid on good so water doesnt come out...

Levi, that sounds like a good idea but Id first have to ship those boxes to Florida where the dats are coming from then back up to me. Ill see if he can find some boxes.

Bushfish, How do you seal the coolers to keep them from leaking? Everytime I transport fish in coolers in my car they leak like a *****!
