So here is my problem, I have called every fish store in the St. Louis area and have come up empty for almost the last two months. I ask them if they can order one and I seem to just get the run around. So I have been looking online and see that they are out of stock at most the the places. So does anyone have a idea on where I can get one soon. I am just worried that my other fish are going to get to big to add him if I wait too much longer. Thanks for the help.
Last I saw them was a month ago. About 6 of them. About 6" TL. Good looking. Ate pellets (Hikari) right in front my eyes. I think 3 of them had a bent nose, two slightly, one strongly (from darting and hitting the glass). Ask John for the ones with fine noses. He is highly reputable and established. His business is in Ft. Myers, FL. He ships anywhere.
All his ads on Aquabid (see catfish; then other) contain a link to his new website. There is a price list of all his stock. He keeps it current but do call first.
If you can I would get more than just one. When I had just one he never came out didn't eat to much and just sat in one spot 99% of the time. I added 2 more and now a completely different fish, actively swimming and eating and doesn't get spooked and crash into the glass.

I'd echo that almost entirely - I've had one - same problems, except mine was not nervous (a 4"-er in 120 gal). When small, this is a shoaling fish. Adults care less. Best, IMHO, is to have at least 6.
So I got one sent in from Florda to a fish store that is about 40mins away, I will go pick it up in a little bit. Do you guys think I will have room in my tank if I would get two of the limas? The rest of the fish are in my signature.
