Check AquaBid.com periodically. It's the only place I know of to find the asian aros. I've seen some nice ones. Just make sure the seller is trustworthy

or a black, nothing like an asian but theyre a little less common and better looking than a silver IMO. i keep both tho

jardinis are also awesome fish, and have some resemblence to the asains.

Contact Rich at Infinate Aquatics (a vendor here on this site). He also is selling Leichardti Arowanas via Aquabid also. Screaming deal at $85 per Leichardti.... they're at about 5.5"-6" right now.... I just bought two a week ago! The "closest" looking to an Asian Arowana that is actually legal in the States and about 1/40th of the price!

i was looking for a new arrowana to raise and i found this picture. it said it was a malasarowana. i also found a thing that said it is a feng shui arrowana. can someone tell me what it is, where i can get one and how much they go for? thanks.

It's NOT really endangered or the country where they come from (China? Indonesia?) would have banned them in the first place and nobody would be able to keep them anywhere (like Canada, etc.) The thing is moreso that the US doesn't want to be growing them here as the ones from the wild are easier to get/catch and smuglers will illegaly import and sell them. Thereby depleting the wild population instead of getting those which are captive.
