you would have to look around,, 200-275 is what i have seen for 5-6inch captive bred..
i couldnt tell you about WC since i didnt even look at them

you are getting a 8-10 inch for 350.. are you picking it up? if so theres part of
your cost since it would cost 65-85 buck in shipping airport to airport so a 250
shipped to you would cost 300+ and you dont get to see the ray in person.. its
all about your preferences and what you want to pay...fish are only worth what
someone is willing to pay for them

His pattern is pretty muddy and he's skinny. How long has he been captive? Is he eating? Has he been treated?

I'd go in and offer $300 pointing out the flaws and see if you can get him for less. There's definitely nicer marbles out there for around the same price if you look around and don't rush buying the first one you see.

What exactly do you mean by muddy colors? I believe his markings would get bolder in my system. He said the ray has been in his system for a while and he says it eats anything. I can find out all of the details next time I swing by. I was told that he treats all of his rays with Prazipro.

There isn't as much marbling in the pattern with the spots. It looks like someone used the smear or smudge option in Microsoft paint and dragged it across the pattern. I prefer clean crisp spots to the ones on this piece. If you think you can do a good job grooming him then I'd take a chance and bring him home.
