with atleast 4 pacu, you will need to add an extra zero onto that 300. 4 fish that are 2.5-3' each would take up an entire 300g, with room for about 10g of water. start worrying about building a huge pond now, rather than finding more pacu.

with 4 pacu, you would need at minimum a 10x4x3, and thats still going to be cramped. especially considering pacu can be 3 feet long, a foot tall, and 4-6 maybe even 7 or 8" thick

look into buying an intex metal frame kiddie pool. for the pool, wood and insulation for framing and a 3600gph pond pump and filter from ebay, i spent just over $500 total. and a whopping $20 on two tarps to double up as a cover for it all.

i was just at petland pet store over the weekend and the fish dept manager was trying to give me 2 huge blk pacus for free if i would buy a 12 inch fire eel and a 8 inch shovel nose for $100. i just did not want those 2 monsters. he could not even give them away...LOL.

the blk will have his own tank not gonna stock that many in one tank. and if i run out of space inside i have a pond in the yard that is about 12ft deep and 35 ft across will have to keep the cows out of it but itll work. it still has tilapia and catfish in it .

I have a black pacu in my tank. Right now, he is housed in 8' x 2' x 2' and he is already getting little too big for that tank. They get freakin' huge! I'm in a process of moving so its gonna be a challenge to move my 27" pacu!!

thats fine that u dont understand .u dont have to what i have goin on here in builds is plenty ive seen many of 300 gl tanks house 2 pacu at a time with plenty room . yes i know they get big i know how big they get also but none of this is what i asked . i dont need a lecture in what size tank i should have i was askin if any one knew of a place that sells them or of anyone wanting to get rid of any . if u cant answer that then dont bust my balls . not tryin to be an ass but ive seen to many posts that noone will answer the question and get bombed with u have to small tank ur doin this wrong u cant do that kinda bs. sry if i piss anyone off but when other ppl ask a question i give them an answer that is helpful not something that will make them say wtf . by the way i also have a pond in the front yard that is around 30 ft round i have the room.

Perhaps you are mad at those that care not so much about the fish keeper, but about the poor defenseless fish.

Anyone willing to keep 3 pacu in a 150 gallon tank (I am giving you credit for having them in your largest tank, which may or may not be giving you too much credit) clearly has their own needs way ahead of the needs of their pets.

Not even one pacu belongs in a tank that small, but you are content to keep 3. You are getting all defensive of your own poor practices, while we get defensive of the poor animals you are abusing. I am sorry it upsets you that we don't want to see yet a 4th pacu subjected to your inadequate housing, but someone needs to step up and defend the pacu.

You think you need more animals to abuse, I think you need to stop abusing animals.

Some ponds are sealed off from the rest of the world and some aren't. If you are threatening to release your pacu into a pond that is indeed sealed, stop threatening and do it for the sake of the poor fish. If that pond is stream fed in anyway...... do not release pets into the wild.

You know your housing is inadequate, and you claim to have this pond (that you aren't using) as proof that you can properly house the fish.....so if you can house them properly, why do you choose not to?

when did i say i had them all in one tank. u assume the smallest two r 2in and the other 2 r around 4 in. so for a grow out tank they r just fine . and by the way who the f r u to tell me anything . i didnt ask for ur opinion so if u cant help me dont post cause i could give a rats ass what u gotta say. my animals r treated better then anything .since when did asking for help constitute gettin ur ass chewed by some arrogant douche.i thought we joined these site to help ppl and share our experiences not treat them like dumb asses. no one is better then the next person . but like i said if u cant help me go play somewhere else

You are a fine person indeed. Quick someone get this brilliant, loving and kind hearted person a black pacu. Ohhh why not, get him 4 of them. After all, he has a 150 gallon tank to put them in.
