The time has come to buy a canister filter

Just curious...Why?
That's a good question , what will your new canister be replacing ?

I use Rena cannisters and love em. "So easy my wife can service them" I say

I have a Marineland Emperor Rite-Size E Filter right now and frankly it cannot keep with my turtles anymore. I have always planned on getting a canister but was just waiting for a good time (like getting a bigger tank which I got for Christmas). I know a lot of turtle users use canister filters, and I like who they are usually so much more quieter.

thank you so much for the review! I have been kinda wary on the sunsun due to the lack of reviews on them.

yes thanx for bringing this to my atention it seems no one will fess up to owning one of these they all act like there being pay comision off of fluval or ehiem or whoever i asked a simple qestion there wasnt any reason for anyone to get all pissy about it im going to get me one of these filters and start acting like i get payed from sunsun to sell these yea just tell them i sent ya

I use the Cascade filters and have been very happy with them. They are a budget filter but well built. They do not include all the media you would like so you end up spending at least $20 per filter on bio-media. I have the 1000 on my 65g and it does well. On my 120g I have 2 of the 1500's running on it. The 1500 on line can be had for about $130 and is rated at 350gph.

One of the reasons I picked Cascade besides price was that a local shop by me runs them on all their tanks. They sell them and will not hesitate to pull back the curtains behind the tanks to show them to you. They swear by these for there durability and bang for the buck. I figure if they trust all the thousands of dollars of fish inventory in the store to these filters, why shouldn't I?

Yes I bought a cascade 1500 (or maybe it was 1000) anyways, it is suppose to arrive tomorrow! I can't wait to see the diff!!

Fair enough, and as good a reason as any.

After you get it up and running, come on back and share your experiance, if you would.
Good luck.
