Ok - if she's student that studying Marine Bio. A pet SW shark is not the best idea. A better idea would be a good Book on sharks, or a DVD documentary on Sharks.
In getting a pet SW shark - you need to know if she has a SW tank, what size is it, does she have the ability to upgrade to a larger tank/pond, and what are her available resources in taking care of a shark. Also it would be best for her to pick out the shark - not you.
