Looking to get a Red Terror

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
going your question only then i would make the female festae the biggest fish in the tank. being the dominant should leave other cihlids alone but never know.

Imo from seeing male festae and females. The females ive seen in action are straight serial killers. I personally would make sure the festae is close size to the dovii if not smaller - festae at these sizes also grow slowly. Same with the texas.

From my experience no matter what size it is once its established it will be slamming itself full bore into the tails/sides of your other fish - having said that the temprement of my female is awful I havnt seen a fish she hasnt gone after.

i ended up getting the female festa to be the biggest she is aroung 5 or 6 inch, but she is much fuller, and no i mean wolf fish, not dovi, also my flowerhorn is happy as can b he is a bean one and he is the smallest, i am new to the hobbie but i wanted to try it i have spoken to people that make it work and have agresive chiclids cumminity style, also i have a 125g looking to upgrade in a year or two, to a 250

ALSO thnx for every one's help if u wish i will keep u guys posted on how it goes, and maybe some pics up if i can find my digital camera, went missing the other day

Wooooooooow! back that up Wolf fish as in Hoplias Malabaricuus - may god bless the little cichlids.............if they survive they'll all have scars for life that's a big IF. Unlike Piranha that'll take a nice clean bite the wolf will grab it's prey with it's massive jaws and large sharp teeth and roll like an alligator then thrash side to side to inflict maximum trama and they do very much eat cichlids. They're nocturnal feeders by nature and it's quite the spectacle watching the wolf mosh it's prey.I'd think about seperating the wolf from the community while you still have a community.

lmao, thnx for the advise man, well one thing i never do it have compleat darkness in my tank so that the wolf can get used to my fish, also i keep him well fed and he only niped at my of my fish the first night i got him now he is cold chillen, so yeah but as soon as i see another fish a little messed up he will be taken out ASAP!!!
