would the new biocube HQI tank help tho, they may not need it but would it help? and what limitations would i have on coral light wise? also i would probly deffently get something more blue, i like how the stock lights look on the biocube with the blue tint to the lighting. and with the new HQI biocube foes it still have the LED's moonglo for night time? i also loved that in my old bio cube,

also how are the temps with the biocube hqi? would i need a chiller or are the temps lower seeing theres no cover?

i just would like a tank with corals that thrive not just like, i keps simple corals in my old stock BC29, i mean they lived some thrived, but i want all thriving corals.

is there any way you can post pics of the the tank in your shop?

thank you for the help N-E Cichlids

if you put in a 20K, I think you will be fine with most of the corals. The top is not open, it is glass. I have had no issue with the temp. There are no more bioballs, as they made that chamber for a fuge with the window in the back. Problem is most people put it up against a wall, therfore limiting the light source. Oceanic is aware of this now and they are making a light to go on the back of the cube window. There are no moonlights on the HQI, it is just HQI bulb. Another weird design they did, was made a seperate plug and switch in the light fixture for the fan. You have to make sure you turn the fan on when you turn on the Bulb. The tank runs great, just made some weird designs to it.

could i add LED's for night do you think? i loved that feature on my old tank......

as for the fan and light i read some place with hqi lighting you should run the fans for 2 hours after the light is off?

also did they upgrade the return pump?

There is no more hood, so there is nowhere for the LED's to go.

Return pump is the same

I run the fan 24/7

What I am seeing on Nanocustoms "says" they have night LEDs on the HQI but the pics they show look nothing like the latest model.

In any event, I still hear good things about this system. There were complaints early on but (again, from what I am hearing) their customer service has been very responsive and one guy I spoke too said they finally just replaced his hood, under warranty, after two phone calls.

This is NOT first hand experience on my part, all second hand, I am trying to get first hand experiance but...

I think your safe but still, do not take my opinion alone, but hey, I am great guy:D

im going to call Nanocustoms and see if they can make a moonlight led for the new biocube HQI........ if i can get one made or make one my self i'll probaly get a diffrent tank. i dont think i'd want a tank without it......
